What a party!!!

Huge THANK YOU to all those who joined me and Vannessa to celebrate our 40th Birthday Party.

It far exceeded our expectations and was everything we originally planned it to be. We have discovered once again that we have good friends who will go out of their comfort zone to make dreams come true, a rare quality to find in people.

With permission (and some bribery) we will be posting some pics of the party here. Watch this space!!

Nearly party time! Are you all ready??

Some info re the paints. We have sourced paints from a variety of places, some cheap and others pricy. We have all the primary colours ie red, blue, yellow, green, black, white, also some gold. I need to stock up on more brown and I think more black. If there is a specific colour which you need please let us know in the comments.

So far we have 37 people attending of which about 22 have said they need paint. Of those about 6 have indicated what colours they need. So the rest of you will have to take pot luck and see what you can find. We will have some pictures available with designs if you need inspiration.

As mentioned professional bodypainters are too expensive so we will just paint each other. We have a few quite good artists amongst us who have offered their services. I think just the painting will be a lot of fun.

I have a few bits and pieces which can be used as accessories ie hats, wigs, glitter, etc.

We will be providing a watermelon punch and some beers and ciders and cooldrinks. Otherwise you must bring your own drinks. If you feel like it you can bring a bottle of champagne as well. Snacks will be provided and boerie rolls for later if you are still peckish. If you like you can bring some chips.

And if anyone has any good music DVDs please bring them along if you don't mind else we will be dancing to the Eighties and Queen all evening!

Q: Invite says to bring overalls, Why?
A: Overalls is my why of saying bring clothes to change into later.

Q: Must we come fully Body Painted?
A: No, but at least must join in the fun with a face paint.

Q: Can we come already apinted?
A: Yes, Coming already painted will be better.

Q: Can we get painted at the party?
A: Yes, but there will be a time limit with the painters depending on the people needing to be painted.

Q: Who will be doing the body painting?
A: We are hoping to have a few painters but still need to confirm how many.

Q: Will we be able to do the painting?
A: Yes, We are going to get Body Crayons so that you can be a Picasso if you so wish.
